FIRST BIRTHDAY

Croma restaurant in Leeds city centre celebrated its first birthday with a fantastic party. A wealth of VIP guests were wined and dined with champagne, canapés and gourmet mini pizzas to the sound of a fantastic live band.

Croma director Nick Mcnally said: “The party atmosphere was incredible and everyone had a great evening. We look forward to another successful year here at Croma.”

PUTTING ON A SHOW

It’s was out with the old and in with the new last month as a whole raft of designers showed up on the catwalk at Harvey Nichols Manchester showcasing the hottest looks in fashion.

Dolly Jones, who runs Britain’s most successful fashion website, hosted the evening which saw hundreds of the store’s top spenders pack into the ground floor, keen to ensure that they wouldn’t be caught out wearing last season’s shoes or ‘It’ bag this summer.

Ladies watched with anticipation as romantic water colour washes, rainbow brights, lightweight layering and floral prints swished down the runway. For the guys, perfectly practical tailored suits from the likes of Lanvin, Paul Smith and Prada, together with loose preppy knits and khakis were definitely the order of the day.

As always, the models looked stunning with their hair styled by Barn//It at the store’s own Urban Retreat and make-up by Laura Mercier.
